We recently had the pleasure of facilitating a workshop with the students from Thomas More College. A short demo by our tutor, Jesse, which followed with the students trying their hand at aerosol painting for the first time. Everyone had a blast!
Today, one of the in house artists at Cold Krush, Fleur, facilitated an aerosol workshop. Today's workshop gave the participants new skills about can cantrol, and how the brands of spray paint operate with different caps used.
Many brands that are on the market specialise in Canvas work and Mural work. There are plenty of caps on the market too! The different caps for the spraycans are on a scale for Skinny/Thin (for more detailed work) to Extra Fat (to fill in larger areas quickly). We understand that some people may find, at first, this type of art form to be challenging. To start off with we begin the workshop with an introduction to all the aeorsol paint stocked at Cold Krush and the different caps you can use for the different cans. We personally love the Montana level caps, Grey hoods and the classic NY Fat cap, our particpants fell in love with these pretty quickly too.
If your interested in taking part in Cold Krush's next workshop, mark your calanders for the Summer Holidays as there will likely be a workshop then, or to secure your place now please register your interest by contacting us to ensure you're kept up to date with any news for our next Aerosol Workshops.
Fleur was so happy to have kicked some knowledge to these particpants today, and we all really hope they continue their artistic endeavours as they are all very gifted and natural born sprayers!Interested?... Click here for more info!

For all who have a love for Art... even if you feel like you don't have a creative bone in your body you will leave our workshop, able to tell your peers that you have tried your hand in 'Aerosol Art'.
After completing a workshop you will be one step further to continuing using Aerosol paints as a new medium to add to existing art techniques or to start using Aerosol for larger scale community based murals.
Cold Krush Facilitators have had many years experience with Aerosol as their main choice of Medium and are all to happy to share their 'secrets', if you will, about how to get started on Aerosol projects for yourself.
COST: $140.00 (with Canvas) Participants will be provided with a 1m x 1m Blank Canvas (to be taken home at the end of the workshop). We have another option also which is $90.00 (without Canvas)
ALL participants will be provided with gloves, masks, aprons and Aerosol paint, please wear old clothes.
Bookings are Essential and places fill up super quick too!Contact Us to Make a Booking!

This week at Cold Krush Store/Gallery we facilitated an aerosol workshop at the back of the store. The back wall recently painted by Fleur OFK, Tarns RCF NA MS from Adelaide, South Australia, and Pike TCF from Los Angeles created an inspiring backdrop for the particpants as they painted away freely and creatively for a solid three hour block. The young and old joined us for the workshop where they learnt all about can cantrol, and the different caps used.
With so many brands and different caps on the market it can be quite daunting to a new comer to this art from, so we provided an introduction to all the aeorsol paint we stock at Cold Krush and the different caps you can use for the different cans. We personally love the Montana level caps, Grey hoods and the classic NY Fat cap, our particpants found them easy to use and manouvre also.
The total cost is $140 per person, this includes all materials, and the use of quality aerosol paint along with a 1m x 1m quality artist canvas of your work from the day to take home.
If your interested in taking part in our next workshop, mark your calanders for the winter school break as we will likely be putting on another workshop then, or register your interest by contacting us to ensure you kept up to date with any news for our next Aerosol Workshops.
A big thanks to all the particpants from our latest workshop, you're all so talented, we hope that you persue your artistic endeavours and hope to see you at another one of our workshops!!... Enjoy your Easter Break everybody!!...Register Your Interest Today!
